Delph
A historic weaving village with folk traditions
Delph is a handsome stone village that grew around the wool and cotton trade in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. It is particularly known for its annual Rush Cart Festival and morris dancing traditions, and its village centre retains much of its original character with weavers' cottages and a fine parish church.
