Friezland is a very small, peaceful hamlet perched above Greenfield on the lower flanks of the Chew Valley. It is one of the quieter corners of Saddleworth, consisting of a cluster of stone-built houses and farms with open fields and moorland views all around. Its slightly elevated position gives fine views back down the Tame Valley.
